Participants of the Forum were representatives from different sectors: public and private, government and civil society, educational institutions, media. Thanks to the support from the Visegrad Fund the Forum hosted special guest from Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia and Poland who shared their knowledge and expertise and discussed a potential of collaboration and replication in Tavush marz.
29.03.2017 Tavush Resilience II Forum
On March 29, Oxfam and “OxYGen” foundation, jointly with Tavush marzpetaran and “National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction” foundation, launched the second forum of Tavush marz resilience forum under the “DRR Education and Education in DRR” theme. The aim of the meeting is to create a platform to discuss the issues of school safety in a comprehensive manner, to raise the awareness on the importance of DRR in education, and present progress and issues in this field.

23.03.2016. Diaspora Donors Pledge $350,000 to Match Syrian Refugee Support in Armenia
At a major donor conference in Yerevan, the Armenian Redwood Project (ARP) announced that a broad coalition of diaspora philanthropists and organizations had pledged up to $350,000 to significantly augment the emergency housing-assistance program in Armenia for Syrian-Armenian refugees. These funds will be essential in continuing the program initiated by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 2016.
