OxYGen takes a rights-based approach to its development, humanitarian and campaign work. We believe that all people are entitled to decent work and income security and to sustainable livelihood, and that everyone should have gender equality, security from conflict and disasters, and be able to participate in social and political life. This section highlights just some of the programming that OxYGen undertakes in order to achieve these aims and build the future free from the injustice of poverty.
"Visegrad Experts at Resilience Forums in the South Caucasus" Project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation with the support of Visegrad Fund and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Project.
The Project will fill the expertise gap in areas of innovative early warning approaches to meteorological and hydrological hazards, science-based mitigation and adaptation response policy making, climate change and water management, earthquake engineering and technical/ scientific forecasting and warning work. It will introduce best concept and practices from V4 countries at 3rd Resilience Forum in Tavush/ Armenia/ and Adjara/Georgia/, will ensure knowledge transfer, support and capacity building of local government and civil society.
“Supporting Community Resilience in the South Caucasus” Programme
The project increases disaster resilience of local communities and relevant national institution by supporting strategies that enable them to prepare for, mitigate and respond to disasters in the South Caucuses region, specifically, to institutionalize government support for the community-based DRR model at the local, regional and national levels in Armenia.
