It will introduce best concept and practices from V4 countries at 3rd Resilience Forum in Tavush\/ Armenia\/ and Adjara\/Georgia\/, will ensure knowledge transfer, support and capacity building of local government and civil society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Project Goal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To support building resilience to natural disasters and climate change impacts through bringing expertise of V4 countries and building capacities of local governments, civil society organizations and communities in the South Caucasus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Project Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To bring Visegrad countries expertise in resilience building to Armenia and Georgia and promote it through regional multi-stakeholder events and on-line publications targeted at key resilience partners and media.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To create networking opportunities for Czech, Slovak, Hungarian and Polish experts with the South Caucasus stakeholders working in resilience, disaster risk reduction, environment and climate change adaptation and to stimulate links and collaboration.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">To build capacities of local governments and civil society organizations in innovative approaches to early warning, mitigation, adaptation, natural disaster forecasting and DRR policy making and building.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Project Partners<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bringing\u00a0high\u00a0profile expertise the project stimulates links among resilience actors in the South Caucasus and V4 experts to support resilience know-how transfer and to intensify dialogue among practitioners and experts working on community and urban resilience.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our partners share experience and best practice in resilience building through innovative mitigation, preparedness and early warning work experience and new approaches to reduce natural disasters and climate change risks.<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute<\/strong>\u00a0(CHMI) (Czech: \u010cesk\u00fd hydrometeorologick\u00fd \u00fastav (\u010cHM\u00da)) is within the Environmental Ministry of the Czech Republic. The head office and centralized workplaces of the CHMI, including the data processing, telecommunication and technical services, are located at the Institute&#8217;s own campus in Prague.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jsn-bootstrap3\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div id=\"P1298H\" class=\" row\">\n<div class=\"col-md-8 col-sm-8 col-xs-12\">\n<div class=\"pb-element-container pb-element-text text-aswxmx\">\n<div><strong>Energiaklub Climate Policy Institute and Applied Communications Association<\/strong>\u00a0spent 25 years in creating a new awareness in Hungary. With their research, training courses, and wide-reaching communication, it aims to make energy producers, users and perhaps even political decision-makers regard energy in a different way. The forum is organized within the framework of DG European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Funded\u00a0\u201cSupporting Community Resilience in the South Caucasus\u201d program and with a support from\u00a0&#8220;Visegrad Experts at Resilience Forums in the South Caucasus&#8221; Project funded by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/visegradfund.org\/home\/\">Visegrad Fund<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/\">the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of \u00a0the Kingdom of the Netherlands Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The forum brought policy makers, civil society organizations and key stakeholders to discuss the key areas related to the resilience: disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, agriculture and livelihoods. It also explored the possible networks and collaboration between the organizations and governments from Adjara with the national level partners. Thanks to the support from the Visegrad Fund the Forum will host experts from Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia and Poland who shared their knowledge and expertise and discussed a potential of collaboration and replication to Adjara.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The series of event aimed to facilitate a regional multi-sectorial and multi-stakeholder dialogue on challenges and best practices in policy and practice work to support rural and urban resilience in Adjara. The initiative contributed towards intensifying the know-how transfer and communication on the key country and regional about strategies and the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 and other frameworks and plans at all governance levels related to climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, environmental protection and synergies among them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 1st in the frame of \u201cVisegrad Experts at Resilience Forums in the South Caucasus\u201d a learning session was launched in Dilijan, Armenia, which brought together representatives of Tavush marz representatives, community members and Vishegrad experts from Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia who shared their experience and best practices in the field of DRR.
