{"id":2544,"date":"2019-08-13T12:00:32","date_gmt":"2019-08-13T08:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/?p=2544"},"modified":"2019-10-12T11:16:07","modified_gmt":"2019-10-12T07:16:07","slug":"equal-marathon-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/en\/upcoming-events\/equal-marathon-events\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cEqual Marathon\u201d events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ahead of September 29 Local- Self Government elections, the Oxygen Foundation with its partner UNDP Armenia, has launched a series of \u201cEqual Marathon\u201d events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of the initiative ahead of local elections meet with the people from those communities where the elections to be held and speak up about the importance of the local self-government bodies, the need for active participation of women and men in community-level decision making, as well as to encourage the women to participate in local decision making processes and to be nominated as candidates during the upcoming elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mottos of the initiatives were:\u201d Local Government 2019.Equal participation: A powerful community\u201d and \u201cMore women in Local-Self Governments\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the framework of the \u201cEqual Campaign\u201d events were held in the busiest parts of the community were guests: women politicians, experts, representatives from marzpetaran, talked about the role of the Local Self-Government and the importance of ensuring equal participation in the formation of the LSG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the event active youth from the region and the community also played an active role, spreading the key messages of the initiative.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The initiative was held within the framework \u201cWomen in Politics\u201d project.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Ararat region<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2>[smartslider3 slider=19]<\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Armavir region<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>[smartslider3 slider=20]<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Aragatsotn region<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>[smartslider3 slider=18]<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Tavush region<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>[smartslider3 slider=21]<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Gegharkunik region<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>[smartslider3 slider=22]<\/div>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Lori region<\/span><\/h2>\n<div>[smartslider3 slider=25]<\/div>\n<p>The project is implemented by UNDP Armenia and Oxygen Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia with the financial support of the \u201cGood Governance Found\u201d of Great Britain.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of September 29 Local- Self Government elections, the Oxygen Foundation with its partner UNDP Armenia, has launched a series of \u201cEqual Marathon\u201d events.
