{"id":8413,"date":"2024-02-02T10:24:12","date_gmt":"2024-02-02T06:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/?p=8413"},"modified":"2024-02-15T17:07:23","modified_gmt":"2024-02-15T13:07:23","slug":"womens-participation-in-peace-and-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/en\/news\/womens-participation-in-peace-and-security\/","title":{"rendered":"Unleashing Potential\u0589 Advancing Women\u2019s Participation in Peace and Security in Armenia 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>The project is a response to the urgent need to address the socio-economic and security challenges exacerbated by the post-war situation, as well as the influx of forcibly displaced women from Nagorno-Karabakh.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The project seeks to<\/strong> strengthen the implementation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arlis.am\/DocumentView.aspx?docID=163530\">National Action Plan (NAP)<\/a>, advance women&#8217;s participation in peace and security, and contribute to the overall goal of promoting gender equality and advancing women engagement in peace and security in Armenia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote systematic monitoring and evaluation of the National Action Plan on women, peace, and security into the working group&#8217;s operations by emphasizing the importance of adopting the Monitoring and Evaluation framework for the NAP.<\/li>\n<li>Promote meaningful participation of women and Women&#8217;s Rights Organisations (WROs) in the localisation and implementation of the NAP on women, peace, and security in three communities (Berd, Goris and Yeghegnadzor).<\/li>\n<li>Enhance the capacities of local networks in three target communities (Berd, Goris and Yeghegnadzor) based on the capacity building plans developed as a result of the needs assessment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Main components\/activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Organise two enlarged meetings on the NAP involving Civil society organisations and national authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Local seminars (outreach) for LSGs on localisation of the NAP;<\/li>\n<li>Needs assessment of the network members;<\/li>\n<li>Development of Capacity building plans for each network;<\/li>\n<li>A three-day Training of Trainers for network members;<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation of peer learning and exchange between network members;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a001.08.2023 \u2013\u00a029.02.2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>Budget:<\/strong>\u00a035,326 GBP<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Armenia<\/p>\n<p><em>The Project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation and is funded by a grant from the Institute of War and Peace Reporting (<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/iwpr.net\/\"><em>IWPR<\/em><\/a><em>) with the support of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO).<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project is a response to the urgent need to address the socio-economic and security challenges exacerbated by the post-war situation, as well as the influx of forcibly displaced women&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":8188,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"cybocfi_hide_featured_image":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[14,15],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-8413","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-news","8":"category-completed_projects_eng"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
