{"id":9548,"date":"2025-11-06T13:25:23","date_gmt":"2025-11-06T09:25:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/?p=9548"},"modified":"2025-11-06T13:45:28","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T09:45:28","slug":"strength-in-action-advancing-womens-participation-in-peace-and-security-in-armenia-3-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oxygen.org.am\/en\/ongoing_projects_eng\/strength-in-action-advancing-womens-participation-in-peace-and-security-in-armenia-3-0\/","title":{"rendered":"STRENGTH IN ACTION: ADVANCING WOMEN\u2019S PARTICIPATION IN PEACE AND SECURITY IN ARMENIA 3.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The project \u201cStrength in Action: Advancing Women\u2019s Participation in Peace and Security in Armenia 3.0\u201d seeks to reinforce Armenia\u2019s commitment to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda through the effective implementation of the third National Action Plan (2025\u20132027).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives of the Project:<\/strong><br \/>\n1. <strong>Strengthen institutional capacity<\/strong> of the Interministerial Commission to effectively implement, monitor, and evaluate Armenia\u2019s third National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace and Security (2025\u20132027).<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><strong>Empower women\u2019s civil society networks<\/strong>\u2014including the Women Peacemakers\u2019 Network (WPN) and local WPS networks\u2014to lead advocacy, awareness-raising, and peacebuilding initiatives across target regions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Amplify the voices and participation<\/strong> of displaced and local women in shaping peace and security policies through storytelling, dialogue, and inclusive public engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Key Activities:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Phase 1 \u2013 Capacity Building, Strategy Development and Institutional Foundations (October 2025 \u2013 March 2026)<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Deliver two tailored training programmes and mentoring for 15 members of the Interministerial Commission on NAP implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Convene a three-day strategic conference for 30 members of the WPN and regional WPS networks to develop a joint advocacy strategy.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct a two-day advocacy and institutional capacity-building workshop for WPN members to expand membership from 30 to 45 and strengthen leadership and policy-influencing skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Phase 2 \u2013 Implementation, Advocacy and Public Engagement (April 2026 \u2013 November 2026)<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Continue mentoring support for Interministerial Commission members and develop at least four ministry-level M&amp;E plans aligned with the NAP framework.<br \/>\n\u2022 Organise nine awareness-raising sessions across Syunik, Tavush, and Vayots dzor, engaging displaced and local women and expanding network membership to at least 60.<br \/>\n\u2022 Facilitate three dialogue meetings between civil society and government actors and hold a national mid-term review conference to assess NAP implementation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Co-design and implement three multimedia campaigns and 10 storytelling products (including a documentary) amplifying women\u2019s peacebuilding voices and reaching over 30,000 people.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Period<\/strong>: <strong>October 1, 2025 \u2013 November 30, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Location: <\/strong>Armenia with particular focus on Syunik, Tavush and Vayots dzor regions<\/p>\n<p><strong>Total Budget:<\/strong> \u00a3 95,000<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The Project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation within \u2018\u2019Building Resilience in Eastern Neighbourhood II\u2019\u2019 project implemented by Institute of War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) with the support of the UK Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO).<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The project \u201cStrength in Action: Advancing Women\u2019s Participation in Peace and Security in Armenia 3.0\u201d seeks to reinforce Armenia\u2019s commitment to the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Agenda through the&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"featured_media":9556,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"cybocfi_hide_featured_image":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-9548","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-ongoing_projects_eng"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
