The project seeks to amplify women’s voices, strengthen their capacity, and ultimately contribute to more durable peace in Armenia. The overall expected result of the project is increased women’s participation in formal peace processes in Armenia at all levels.
Objectives:
- Enhance the capacity of women and Women Rights Organizations (WROs) to engage effectively in peace processes and advocate for their rights.
- Facilitate dialogue opportunities and policy advocacy to foster collaboration among women leaders and elaborate gender-responsive elements/provisions for potential peace agreement and peace talks
Main components/activities:
- Capacity Building: Providing training and resources to equip women with skills necessary to engage effectively in peace processes and advocate for their rights.
- Network Development: Establishing a network of women leaders across various sectors who share knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to peacebuilding.
- Policy Advocacy: Collaborating with governmental institutions and civil society organizations (particularly WROs and women informal groups/networks) to promote gender-responsive policies for women’s inclusion in peace processes.
