
Youth Democracy Exchange: Empowering Future Leaders in Armenia and Georgia
Are you passionate about democracy, civic activism, and youth participation? Do you want to make a difference in your community and collaborate with young leaders from Armenia and Georgia?
We invite motivated young people from Armenia and Georgia to apply for the Youth Democracy Exchange: Empowering Future Leaders in Armenia and Georgia programme — a unique opportunity to build your leadership skills, learn about human rights and democracy, develop and implement community-based civic initiatives, and become part of a cross-border youth network.
What We Offer
- Participation in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on shrinking youth civic space, human right,s and youth work (by July 10, 2025),
- Participation in an intensive 5-day training programme in Aghveran, Armenia (July 28 – August 3, 2025);
- A cross-country exchange visit to Georgia (September 27 – 29, 2025);
- Mentorship and support in the development and implementation of local civic action projects (August 5 – November 15, 2025);
- The chance to present your project and experiences at a Regional Conference (by November 30, 2025);
- Networking opportunities with young civic leaders from Armenia and Georgia;
- Full coverage of accommodation, travel, and meals during the activities.

Who Can Apply?
We are looking for 20 young leaders (10 from Armenia, 10 from Georgia) who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 18–30;
- Actively engaged or strongly interested in civic activism, youth leadership, democracy, or human rights;
- Motivated to design and implement a community-based civic initiative;
- Available to fully participate in all programme activities (training, exchange, project implementation, and the regional conference);
- Have successfully completed the mandatory online MOOC on Democracy, Civic Space, and Youth Participation by July 10, 2025;
- Valid international passport/ID and no restrictions for travelling outside the country;
- Working proficiency in English language
Selection Process
- Online Application (should be filled out by July 8)
- Those who have completed the application will be registered to the MOOC and need to Complete it by July 10, 2025
- Interviews with shortlisted candidates (July 10–15, 2025)
Final selection will ensure gender balance and geographical diversity.
